What this does, and what it doesn't

It reads your bill — including its individual charge lines — lets you fix anything misread, then recomputes each line from the published tariff for your DISCOM using the same engine behind the bill calculator. You get a line-by-line comparison: energy charge, fixed charge, fuel surcharge and duty, each shown as printed on your bill next to what the tariff produces, with the difference.

It only scores lines it can actually read. OCR does not get every line off every bill layout. Anything it could not read is marked "not read" and left out of both the findings and the verdict — a line we could not read is never assumed to be zero, because that would invent a discrepancy the size of the whole line.

It is software, not a person. It will not spot the things that need judgement or a second document — an LPSC charged on a bill you actually paid on time, a meter that is running fast, a category that is wrong for how you use the premises. For that, a human reviews it: see a sample expert report.

This is a provisional recomputation from published tariff data, not a certified audit. Rates, fuel surcharge and duty change through the year, and OCR can misread a printed figure — check the inputs above against your bill before relying on the comparison. See how our rates are sourced and verified.
