How this calculator works

Most "units × rate" estimates get prepaid maths wrong, because a prepaid balance doesn't only pay for energy. Every day your meter also deducts a share of the fixed charge, FPPA (fuel surcharge) and electricity duty. This tool computes your full monthly bill with the same engine as our bill calculator — slab-wise rates and all — then divides by 30 to get the true daily burn rate your balance drains at.
