Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd.
Service area: North Haryana (Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Kaithal)
UHBVN (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd.) distributes electricity across North Haryana, serving 10 key districts and towns including Panchkula, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and more.
UHBVN scored 66.32 and ranks 21 of 54 state and private distribution utilities — down a grade from the 13th report.
The rating scores the utility’s financial and operational performance — AT&C losses, billing and collection efficiency, the gap between what supply costs and what it earns, and the regulatory support the utility gets. It is not a measure of supply reliability or customer service, and it does not affect your tariff.
UHBVN applies the same state-wide 2026-27 tariff schedule as the other Haryana DISCOMs (set by the state regulator). What differs by company is the service area, billing portal and contact details below.

Who each rate applies to
DS Category I — sanctioned load up to 2 kW
Domestic connections with sanctioned load up to 2 kW. No fixed charge. The schedule is published only up to 100 units a month.
DS Category II — sanctioned load up to 5 kW
The schedule most Haryana households are billed on. No fixed charge up to 300 units a month; ₹50/kW/month once consumption crosses 300 units.
DS Category III — sanctioned load above 5 kW
Domestic connections with sanctioned load above 5 kW. Fixed charge ₹75/kW/month at every consumption level.
ℹ️ Haryana picks the domestic schedule by sanctioned load, not by consumption: up to 2 kW is Category I, up to 5 kW Category II, above 5 kW Category III. Category II — the default here — pays no fixed charge at all until monthly consumption crosses 300 units. Electricity Duty (10 paise/unit) and Municipal Tax (5 paise/unit) are per-unit levies, so they do not scale with the rest of the bill.

Who each rate applies to
LT Supply — up to 10 kW
Shops, offices and other non-domestic connections up to 10 kW. Energy is charged on kVAh (apparent units), so a poor power factor raises the bill directly.
LT Supply — above 20 kW and up to 50 kW
The energy rate drops to ₹6.60/kVAh at this band but the fixed charge rises to ₹250/kW/month. Above 50 kW the connection moves to the HT schedule.
ℹ️ The old Non-Domestic Supply schedule was merged into LT Supply, which is a flat rate per band of sanctioned load with no consumption slabs. Energy is billed on kVAh rather than kWh, so power factor feeds straight into the energy charge instead of a separate penalty.

UHBVN FPPA — latest verified rate and trend
Latest verified UHBVN FPPA (Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment)
Typical domestic examples for a 2 kW DS (Domestic Supply) connection, computed with the same engine as the calculator. Use them as a quick sanity check; your actual bill changes with sub-category, arrears, FPPA, duty and billing-period length.
The slab-wise price of the units consumed during the billing period. In telescopic slabs, each band is billed at its own rate.
Fixed charge
A monthly charge linked to sanctioned load, connected load, billing demand or consumer category. It applies even when usage is low.
Electricity duty
A statutory government levy. Depending on the state, it may apply on energy charges, fixed charges, or selected bill components.
FPPA (Fuel and Power Purchase Adjustment)
Fuel and power-purchase adjustment. It changes more often than the base tariff and may appear as a charge or a credit.
Arrears
Unpaid balance, corrections, security-deposit adjustments or previous-cycle amounts carried into the current bill.
LPSC
Late Payment Surcharge on overdue amounts. Check the due date and pay through the official DISCOM channel to avoid it.
